5 years... jobless and friendless this whole time. my wife's family is really abusive and crazy (ALL the family members, not just her parents) so there's been a lot of problems that, in the end, have made it so none of us have found jobs (and in my case, my degree was really heavily delayed and i'm constantly worried i won't pass my classes). on top of general unemployment being super high in my town even for normal people. so sweden, while it is technically nice to live here and the general population is extremely nice for example, has no real good memories/feelings for us (but especially me, the foreigner) at all.
so i'm reaaaally hoping that by doing this exchange to japan i can somehow find a job fast, whether in japan or elsewhere. and then if i can't find a job in japan that lets me get a VISA, i'll have gotten so good at japanese that no matter how bad my wife's family is i can still pass my classes because after living in japan they should seem ridiculously easy... of course i could work in any other european country technically but not knowing the language and having no skills / degree and being almost blind = no one's gonna hire me.
