feeling "better" in that today i was able to go out of the house for the first time in a week; not sure if i can, want to or will go to school tomorrow (i technically need to because i have overdue library books there).

went to use my "tosho cards" (bookstore gift cards) that i got for teaching elementary schoolers about sweden. luckily you can use it in Kikuya which is an anime/manga/game (though mostly manga) shop; thinking it was a novel instead i bought a legends of the galactic heroes manga with retro-ish art. you really get tricked a lot when you're not allowed to preview the book before buying...

i was intending on buying some BL but the book i wanted wasn't there, neither were the magazines... it's december 14th today, which apparently means JANUARY's magazines are now on sale. just like, yesterday, december's were still on sale but now you can't find them anywhere. there's no "sale bin" or anything inside the store, they've just entirely disappeared. i wanted october, november and december's issues : / i've already tried searching online; you can buy e-versions of them but can't find the real paper versions anywhere, not even on yahoo japan.

saturday i'm meeting my "friendship family", aka a really old (like 60-70 years old) married couple we'll meet with from time to time as a sort of informal host family, the wife wants us to teach her english. sunday i'm going to a different church than the first time with my esperanto friend, after that we'll go to an esperanto meeting together and then after the meeting is the club's welcome party for me and my wife. except my wife might be too sick to go and she hates socializing anyway so looks for any excuse to not come.
