joined pillowfort.io, it's like a mix of LJ/DW and tumblr. it's still in beta but is looking pretty good so far (aside from the layout, which i've changed with add-ons). there's a bunch of features currently missing but that's 'cause it's in beta.

i already made a BL comm, joined a fanfic comm and japanese-learning comm.

EDIT: here's some example images!

It's like DW/LJ in that you only have one journal account, but can then join communities. Each post has a comment feature (like DW; no separate comment threads depending on who reblogged it or whatever like on Tumblr). The main difference from DW is you can reblog someone's posts to either your own personal journal or to a community. If a post is reblogged and the OP edits the post, it changes the contents of that post EVERYWHERE that it was reblogged (unlike Tumblr). Another difference is that your tags on your journal are (currently) global tags, like on Tumblr, but you can still friends-lock your posts and stuff.

Here's what it looks like using my add-on that makes text bigger and the post backgrounds black:

This is your "Home Feed", aka Friendslist/Dashboard, as it looks by default. As of right now you can't see your own posts on it and you can't edit much of the layout but I'm assuming both those things will probably change later.

This is what your own personal journal looks like (you currently get to it by clicking on your name in the top-right of your dashboard). It only shows your posts in your own journal + posts you've reblogged to your own journal.

When making a post, you have all the usual text style and post cut/read more features but can also easily upload/insert images.

Communities function as both a forum and a normal DW-like comm (where you see people's individual posts), and each of those two sections has its own "tab". The main "your comms!" page:

A thread in a comm's "forum":

The comm journal is the same as DW/LJ (everyone's individual contributed posts appear) except for that posts people reblog to it will also appear there.
